A net and false floor gives acrobats a calming feeling. The FREE 100 rescue device with real buoyancy of 110 N does the same for swimmers and others who want to be on the safe side. It is not uncommon for swimmers to believe they are on the safe side in open water. But suddenly problems arise: for example in the form of a cramp or when your strength weakens.
Then comes the time for the FREE 100. This is the new inflatable rescue device that resembles a slightly thicker belt when at rest. The float is folded tightly into a small pocket on a hip belt. Tests have shown that the belt is barely noticeable when swimming. If an emergency occurs, the victim pulls the float out of the bag in front of their upper body and then directly over their head. A CO2 cartridge is activated manually. The gas flows into the float, provides buoyancy and stabilizes the vest and person.
The invisible back-up system
This rescue device, whose functionality is already more widespread on the other side of the Atlantic, is available from specialist retailers. In the USA, life jackets of this type are among the most popular models. While a 150N or 275N buoyancy class life jacket is essential for most water sports, the FREE 100 offers a good back-up system for swimmers and SUP (stand-up paddling or stand-up paddling). The vest in the belt provides security here, while the upper body can remain free.
